A few things were disappointing: one gas shock mount on the back door has stripped screws so I have to fix that somehow with bigger sheet metal screws. I also have to trim a couple pieces of weatherstripping that weren’t done right. There’s also water coming in on the inside of the front window somehow I have to address. And the seam in the aluminum on the roof is over to one side, you would think it would be centered for aesthetics. I tried to work out a solution to a latch handle failure by contacting first a dealer, then the OEM latch manufacturer, then ARE directly. No one was willing to help. They did send me a replacement latch handle for $85 but when I pointed out that my existing lock cylinder would not work with the current design and that was unacceptable, they said too bad. Then I asked to purchase just the T Handle to replace the broken component, same answer. The dealer did make me whole with an appropriate discount, thank you very much. He did say that this is a common scenario with ARE not caring to ensure the service parts are available and not showing any willingness or flexibility when it comes to after the sale customer satisfaction. DCU Series : Dodge Ram May 13, 2021    Posted by: I have had this cap for 6 months and I use it everyday. Fit and finish are good. Electronic locks are awesome they have worked flawlessly. Only criticism I have is the doors on both side leaked from day one. Had to return to the dealer to have it sealed three times. After that the cap seemed dry. As of recently the front wall near the cab of the truck has been leaking. Not sure if it is from wind driven rain or just leaking from rain fall. In my opinion the point of a cap or topper is to keep things dry. Was a quite disappointed with all the water leaks for the price.
