Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

during installation and on my way home immediately after installation, I am VERY disappointed in the quality and workmanship from ARE on this truck cap. There are excessive scratches on the top, sides corners and trim of this unit. The rear window molding/metal frame appears to have been cut off with tin snips and is jagged, unfinished and has sharp edges still. The frame also does not meet the bottom trim as it should. The gap on the lower edge of the door is nearly an inch from the tailgate and I can clearly see into the cap and all the way across to the windows on opposite side. Carpet headliner is loose in several places also it appears. I have attached numerous pictures of the above. I did not get pics of the sagging headliner as they do not capture well due to lighting Bottom-line I should be very happy for the $2400 spent on this cap and I am anything but. In hind site I wish I had purchased a different brand in the first place which would have been available in 3 weeks and of higher quality apparently . I waited nearly 7 weeks for this cap so I could have it for trip to Florida in 2.5 weeks, I now am stuck with an inferior product and do not have time for it to be sent back for repair or to purchase from another company with greater pride in their workmanship. I feel ARE should either immediately make and send a replacement cap (by 20 Dec )while making this one partially useable in the mean time or give me a SIGNIFICANT refund on this unit, provide me sufficient variety and quantity of a seal to attempt to make the cap weather tight, and pay for a professional detail and buff of the top once cured to attempt to remove the numerous scratches on this entire unit. My $300 Truxedo tonneau cover was much more water tight than this unit.. Please provide immediate remedy from ARE as soon as you can. Lastly I realize none of these issues are the fault of the dealer, they can only install the poor quality unit ARE provided
