This is the second z series canopy that was reordered due to quality and workmanship issues on the first (original) unit ordered. First unit had defective front window frame, cracks at back of unit at the rear corners and intermittent brake led and leaks around the rear sides during heaving rain. The replacement unit arrived six weeks after dealer ordered the replacement. However, under close inspection the unit had the same defective front window frame but it came with a new workmanship issue, which was the paint on the top of the unit was various shades of the required color. We rejected this unit and asked for and received a complete refund. ARE has lost us as a customer and we will be ordering a unit from a competitor in the next few days. The dealer did a great job of trying to get our order delivered without defects but was amazed a second unit was also defective.

The canopy for our F150 came with issues on the front folding sliding window (tweeked frame), which causes window to not completely contact the seal. The second issue found was that cracks were found by our local detail shop at the right rear corner of the canopy right after installation. The third issue was that the LED brake light appears to have an intermittent non-functioing issue. All of these defects should have been caught at the factory during quality checks. These defects have caused our local ARE dealer to order a replacement canopy. We are hopeful that ARE will build our replacement canopy correctly.
