The old covers had nice plastic edging, painted to match, to cover the raw edges and finish the look nicely. The wiring of the remote unlock and LED strip seems convoluted and messy, and it's not just from the installer-I fixed that mess as much as I could, but it still doesn't look like factory wiring like all the various lights I installed on the vehicle. Also, the LED strip does not seem to be functional. The paint is very rough to the touch. I just got it installed today, and still need to gently wash the dust and dirt off to properly feel it, but I think it's going to need extensive paint correction before I can get it covered in paint protective film and ceramic coated like the rest of the truck is. This is a major issue since one of the main points of a topper is to secure items in the bed. Since purchasing I’ve had to bring the topper back each week to get it adjusted. It’ll be working when I leave and then the next time I use it the topper will be out of adjustment. TECHS AT DEALER HAVE TOLD ME THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND I’LL PROBABLY NEED TO BRING IT IN EVERY COUPLE MONTHS TO HAVE IT SERVICED.
