Within the first day, the handle of the sliding door broke off, the dome light stopped working, the frame of the front sliding door showed up dented and held together with electrical tape. Within the first week, one of the locks seized up, another completely came out of it's housing, all handles and locks turn in different directions with no apparent pattern, the LED lights stopped working after using them for less than 5 minutes total. The gap between the back window and my tailgate is enough for me to get my hand through. If I had bought the cap used, or installed all of these things myself, I wouldn't mind things like this happening, but for a $4,000 custom cap, that I waited 3 months for (which is understandable considering COVID shutdowns), this is absolutely unacceptable. I'm just waiting for something else to break after minimal and light use. Take your money somewhere else.

I've had the cap for a day (no use in the first day aside from driving home) and the first time I used the sliding window on the cap, the handle broke off. One section of this frame was taped together with electrical tape, and another part of the frame was dented and bent already. If it was used, I would have been fine with this, but not for a brand new, custom cap that cost $4,000. Also, there is a gap between my tailgate and the rear window I can almost get my hand into. And the realization that the keys for the locks are semi-universal inspires little confidence in keeping tools and gear safe. Considering the amount of money I just dropped, I wish I had gone with another brand. I wasn't bothered one bit by the COVID related 3 month waiting period, that's completely understandable. These issues are poor craftsmanship and a poor quality product.

A.R.E. did an excellent job putting together the cap to my expectation(s). I am really pleased with the results! "Jody" at Snap-in Campers in Hemet was very helpful and I appreciate it. As I am retired, budget constraints required diligence whether or not I liked it...the cap (shell) was NOT cost prohibitive and I was able to select a lot for my investment and I suppose that has the most significance of all..."value"!
