Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I had a traditional lift type tonneau cover on my last truck and felt that at times it would be nice if I could just roll it up instead of lifting it. Some loads just require this. When I bought my Ram 2500 and was looking at roll up covers I came across the DoubleCover - it truly is the best of both worlds. It is well constructed as are all of the A.R.E. products that I have used in the past and that aint a bad thing). It raises and lowers easily thanks to the lift assist, the built in light is nice, although not terribly useful. It glides smoothly when retracting or extending. The canister takes up a bit of room at the front of the bed, and it sits deep enough that you can't get larger boxes to slide under it (example my new TV did not slide under the canister, I had to lay it on top of the tail gate) This covers offers great security and ease of access regardless of whether I am raising the cover or retracting it. The cost is comparable to other high quality covers that I looked at, but this one offers dual functionality and that makes it my new cover of choice! BRAVO! - Great work A.R.E. - It did take the installer a bit longer than expected to install as this was the very first one of these they had done.
