Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I purchased the DCU with full length doors and tool boxes on both sides and rear double doors. My truck was a used 2012 F-250 with an 8 foot bed. This setup has been working well for just over a month. I was expecting the cap to form a waterproof bed area but this is not the case. The initial installation left large gaps and holes at the rear where the tail gate used to be. I returned to the installer and they added some foil tape and foam to help close up these areas. These measures would have been more effective if completed during the initial installation. I am also not sure if the back doors leak water and am still working to determine where the leaks are coming from. This is my first experience working around a cap like this and my expectations of a water tight bed area may not be accurate, I don't know. Over all the cap is Great! The fit seems to be my issue but does not seem to be related to the truck being used prior to the installation. If I were to do it over, I know am better prepared to talk to the installer.
